Tinubu Urges Aiyedatiwa To Lead Ondo Forward

President Bola Tinubu met with the newly sworn-in Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in Lagos on Thursday evening, encouraging him to assume leadership and mobilize the people to move the state forward. Governor Aiyedatiwa, who spoke to the press after the meeting at Tinubu’s Ikoyi residence, provided updates on recent developments in the state.

The new Ondo Governor, who took office in Akure on Wednesday following the death of his predecessor, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, shared that President himself expressed condolences and commiserated with him during their meeting. Aiyedatiwa highlighted that the president advice focused on the transition within the administration and encouraged him to take charge, mobilize everyone, and continue the state’s progress.

Aiyedatiwa’s visit to President Tinubu was also to brief him on the events in Ondo State and express gratitude for the support during the challenging period. He acknowledged President Tinubu as a father-figure to the state, thanking him for advice and assistance during the past six months, which had been marked by various challenges.
In a separate engagement, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, also visited President Tinubu to commiserate with him and provide updates on developments in Ogun State. The interactions reflect the ongoing coordination and communication among political leaders during times of transition and challenges in various states.
