In a devastating incident during a Maulud celebration, numerous villagers in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, are feared dead after a bomb was allegedly dropped by a military jet. The tragedy unfolded on Sunday at approximately 9 pm, disrupting the festive gathering.
According to reports by Daily Trust, the bomb explosion claimed the lives of about 30 people who had gathered to commemorate Maulud in the village. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning.
The Overseeing Commissioner of the State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, declined to disclose specific casualty numbers when approached for comment. However, he conveyed that the government intends to provide detailed information during a press conference at the Government House.
“We will address the press at Government House on the situation because there would be a security meeting later. So, let’s meet by 10 am,” Aruwan informed Daily Trust.
