A Manhattan court has scheduled the sentencing hearing for former President Donald Trump on July 11 at 10 a.m. ET. This follows the jury’s verdict on Thursday, finding Trump guilty on all 34 counts in his hush money case.
The charges stemmed from 11 invoices, 12 vouchers, and 11 checks documenting Trump’s reimbursement to Michael Cohen, who paid $130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels. The jury concluded that Trump falsified business records to cover up these payments, which were made before the 2016 election.
Trump, who pleaded not guilty and denied the affair with Daniels, faces significant legal consequences. Prosecutors argued that the reimbursements, disguised as payments for legal services, were part of a cover-up effort. Judge Juan Merchan will preside over the sentencing.
