James David Vance, who is the vice presidential candidate of Donald Trump has called on President Joe Biden to resign as United States president.
The Republican Party vice presidential candidate said since Democrats are pushing President Joe Biden to quit the presidential contest, it means he cannot also continue presiding over America.
He said if President Biden lacked cognitive function to run for re-run election, he also lacked cognitive function to remain as US Commander-in-Chief.
On his X handle, Friday, Vance wrote, “If Joe Biden doesn’t have the cognitive function to run for re-election, then he certainly doesn’t have the cognitive function to remain as Commander-In-Chief.
“How can any Dem pushing him to drop out of the presidential race, argue in good faith that he should stay on as POTUS?”
Joe Biden, who has been at home since he contracted Coronavirus (COVID-19), said he would not quit his re-election bid.
On Friday, Biden described his being at home due to Covid as unfortunate as he could not watch Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention.
“I’m stuck at home with COVID, so I had the distinct misfortune of watching Donald Trump’s speech to the RNC,” he wrote on his personal X handle.
