Popular Reality TV personality Phyna has raised concerns about privacy after she took decisive action to delete videos of herself taken by a persistent church photographer during a Sunday service.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate attended an undisclosed church service where she found herself the subject of intrusive recording by a photographer. Venting her frustration on Twitter, Phyna questioned the need for privacy in such sacred spaces.

In her tweet, she detailed the incident: “What I did in church today I want to know if I did right… So while worshipping, there came this lady that almost videoed my intestines; this lady had to back the Altar to video me.” Phyna then described how she waved the photographer closer, borrowed her phone, deleted the videos, returned the phone, and firmly instructed her not to record again, especially during worship.

Many of Phyna’s followers supported her actions, echoing the sentiment that privacy is a fundamental right. The reactions from the online community emphasized the importance of respecting personal boundaries, even for public figures.

Twitter user @Chelseaside commented: “People should learn how to respect other people’s privacy and also learn how to ask before making a video of someone else.” Others, like @AjoseOlaniyi3, acknowledged that Phyna did the right thing but expressed concern about the photographer’s feelings, suggesting she might be a
fan.

Phyna’s experience prompted a discussion about the challenges celebrities face regarding privacy. @YankeeDoodle7 remarked, “The moment you become a celebrity, just know you have lost 90% of your privacy…”
Phyna’s actions and the subsequent online conversation shed light on the delicate balance celebrities navigate in maintaining personal space while existing in the public eye.
