Two more doctors have been detained by the Plateau State Police Command in connection with the alleged harvesting of crucial human organs by Noah Kekere, a suspected quack doctor.
Alabo Alfred, the police department’s public relations officer, told the News Agency of Nigeria about it on Tuesday in Jos.
Alabo stated that Kekere and the suspects were being held by the police and were the subject of an investigation.
A supposedly quack doctor named Kekere was recently detained after he was charged with removing a woman’s kidney during surgery.
The two suspects’ identities were kept a secret by Alabo, who also stated that the state’s police commissioner will soon assemble a powerful panel of medical specialists to conduct a thorough investigation into and examination of the woman who allegedly had one of her essential organs removed during surgery by Kekere.
The PPRO said that by making the motion, the command would be able to determine whether the victim’s vital organ had indeed been tampered with.
Kekere was detained by the police when Alhaji Kamal, a businessman, accused him of operating in 2018 and removing one of his wife’s kidneys.
According to Kamal, Kehinde, his wife, who had been experiencing persistent stomach pain for five years, was transported to Kekere’s clinic in the Nasarawa Gwom neighborhood of Jos North Local Government Area.
He claims that Kekere performed an examination on his wife and found that she had an appendix rupture and required immediate surgery; as a result, the procedure was performed.
