The United Arab Emirates has, on Monday, lifted its extended visa restriction on Nigerian travelers. This development coincides with the announcement that both Etihad and Emirates Airlines will promptly recommence their flight services to Nigeria.
The decision to lift the visa ban was reached following a series of discussions between Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, and his Emirati counterpart, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In an official statement, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed that the two leaders concluded a significant agreement during their meeting in Abu Dhabi on Monday. This agreement led to the immediate removal of the visa ban for Nigerian travelers.
Furthermore, as a result of this historic accord, both Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines will promptly restore their flight schedules to and from Nigeria without any further delays.
More details on this development will follow shortly.
