In the wake of serious allegations leveled against him by activist VeryDarkMan, Ubi Franklin, Nigerian music executive and entrepreneur, has broken his silence. The activist accused Franklin of defrauding an upcoming artist by impersonating popular afrobeat artist Davido and making false promises, resulting in a financial loss of almost 10.5 million Naira for the artist.

Reported earlier by Gistreel, VeryDarkMan openly called out Ubi Franklin, sparking controversy within the entertainment industry. In response, Franklin took to Instagram to vehemently declare that he remains undeterred by any scandal in the new year, confidently stating that 2024 will be a prosperous year for him.
“I ain’t tripping, it’s going to be a good year,” Franklin wrote in his Instagram post.
Following Franklin’s response, Davido’s Hypeman, Spesh, contributed to the unfolding drama by sharing a meme video on Instagram.

The video humorously portrayed Ubi Franklin unleashing his rage on detractors, eliciting laughter not only from Ubi Franklin but also from notable figures in the industry, including Davido, Isreal DMW, Kidwaya, and others.
The controversy continues to capture the attention of social media, with fans and industry observers closely watching for further developments and responses from all parties involved.
