Controversial socialite VeryDarkMan (VDM) has made serious accusations against a friend of Ubi Franklin, asserting that the associate exploited Davido’s name to defraud an upcoming artist.

In a video shared on VeryDarkMan’s page, he revealed that an aspiring artist and his manager sought Ubi Franklin’s assistance in securing a feature for the artist’s music. According to VDM, Franklin allegedly demanded an initial payment of N2 million to gauge the seriousness of the artist and his manager.
The plot thickened as Franklin purportedly urged the duo to send an additional N5 million. He claimed that with this sum, he could arrange a meeting with Davido and negotiate a favorable price for the feature with the upcoming artist. Furthermore, Franklin allegedly promised to assist the artist in obtaining a US visa to meet Davido in person, all after collecting a total of N10.5 million from the aspiring artist.
The explosive allegations have ignited discussions across social media, with users expressing outrage at the alleged exploitation and fraudulent actions. As the controversy unfolds, many await responses from Ubi Franklin and those involved, while the incident raises concerns about the vulnerability of emerging talents in the music industry.
