Unilag Student Wey Wan Set Record: E Go Sing Non-Stop to Enter Guinness World Records

Undergraduate student for University of Lagos, Rhema Ahonsi, dey aim to enta Guinness World Records as e wan sing non-stop for di longest time. Dis 27-year-old Theatre Arts student go start di marathon singing wey go last for five days from November 25 for LAMP Studio, UNILAG, Akoka, Lagos.

Ahonsi follow di recent trend of Nigerians wey dey break records, like Chef Hilda Baci wey do cook-a-thon, and odas wey dey try different feats. Im plan na to become di first Nigerian wey go hold di record for di longest singing marathon, wey dey currently 105 hours. Di record now dey wit India’s Sunil Waghmare since 2012.

To meet Guinness World Records criteria, Ahonsi go need stay awake for five days, dey sing songs wey dem fit recognize, and e no fit repeat any song within four hours. Each song go last at least two minutes, and e fit get musician wey go play wit am for up to four hours. Ahonsi plan to sing 1,300 gospel songs, wey go showcase Nigeria’s rich musical heritage.
