Popular social media activist, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has vowed to sponsor a fresh music video for the controversial song “Tell Your Papa,” after the Nigerian government banned it from radio and TV. The song, by artist Eedris Abdulkareem, was recently blacklisted by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for being “offensive,” but the ban has only made it more popular.
Reacting to the news, VDM slammed the government, saying they are trying to silence the truth. He explained that the song speaks about the real struggles Nigerians are facing, including hunger and insecurity. According to him, banning it won’t stop the message from spreading.

VDM now plans to shoot a new version called “Tell Your Papa 2.” He says it will be shared across social media, where the government can’t block it. The new video will feature him and a lookalike of President Tinubu since they can’t get the actual President. VDM believes this is the best way to keep the people’s voice alive.
