Former BBNaija contestant, Victoria Adeyele, known as Vee, has expressed her deep appreciation to actress and film producer Funke Akindele for granting her a unique opportunity to showcase her acting talent.
Vee recently appeared in Akindele’s newly released mini-series titled “She Must Be Obeyed,” where she shared the screen with renowned Nollywood figures like Patience Ozokwor, Lateef Adedimeji, Rachael Okonkwo, Nancy Isime, Adunni Ade, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Mike Ezuronye, and others.
Vee recounted her journey, revealing that she initially reached out to Funke Akindele via a direct message (DM) in January 2021, expressing her desire to demonstrate her acting skills. In their chat at that time, Vee mentioned her admiration for Akindele’s work in the “Jenifa Diary” series, which had inspired her over the years.
In the message, Vee expressed her belief in her acting abilities, even though she lacked extensive experience, emphasizing her dedication and quick learning skills. She also praised Akindele’s success in building a significant brand for herself.
Akindele responded positively, stating her willingness to collaborate once she returned to Lagos, to which Vee eagerly agreed.
Now, years later, Vee took to Twitter to express her profound gratitude to Funke Akindele for providing her with the valuable opportunity that allowed her to unleash her acting potential. She mentioned that Akindele’s support had unlocked a newfound level of confidence within her.
Vee’s tweet read: “Thank you for giving me a chance @funkeakindele you helped me unlock a level of confidence I never knew I had. I love you Aunty #SheMustBeObeyed OUT NOW on @primevideonaija.”
