Controversial critic VeryDarkMan has responded to the court-issued arrest warrant over defamation allegations by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo. The Abuja Chief Magistrate Court ordered his arrest while he was in China for a youth empowerment initiative. However, in a bold Instagram post, he claimed the case was part of a judicial conspiracy to silence him.
According to VeryDarkMan, the prosecutor handling his case had six other matters in the same court on the day his warrant was issued. He also alleged that another court has now issued an injunction against him involving Mercy Chinwo and her former record label boss, Eezee Tee. He further questioned the sudden transfer of the case from Lagos to Ilorin, suggesting abuse of power and undue influence.

Despite the legal threats, VeryDarkMan remains defiant, vowing to expose corruption within the judiciary. He insisted that even if detained upon his return to Nigeria, it would not invalidate his claims. Declaring his fight against oppression, he maintained that he would not be silenced by legal intimidation.
