It’s late at night, and once again, your love life is causing you trouble. You had a long talk over dinner, trying to explain your actions and feelings. Both of you made an effort to be calm and polite, but deep down, you know it’s not enough. As you lie awake at 3 am, questions swirl in your mind. Are you doing something wrong in love? Do you even belong together? Why is it so tough?
You briefly consider leaving and imagine new dates, but the idea is unsettling. Despite the problems, you share memories and had hope until recently. However, the hurts have piled up, and you both disappoint each other. It feels disheartening to watch love deteriorate.
Feeling lost, you wish there was someone wise to talk to. More than a solution, you crave understanding. You want someone to acknowledge the difficulty and say, “I know, I know.” Sometimes, you don’t need fixes; you need sympathy for the challenges you face.
You had hoped to solve things neatly, like you do in other aspects of life. But love isn’t as simple as organizing a cupboard or managing finances. Few people have their love lives completely figured out. You may feel like you’ve failed, but you’re not exceptionally foolish. You’re just a regular person facing the incredibly difficult task of navigating love. It’s tough for everyone, and it’s okay to struggle.
