Grammy-winning Nigerian artist, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has openly admitted to occasionally telling untruths in both courtrooms and at police stations. He shared this confession on his Instagram story while emphasizing his straightforward and candid personality as the ‘African Giant.’
Burna Boy explained that his motive for being untruthful in legal settings arises from his desire not to lose a case to someone he doesn’t have positive feelings for. He further stated that he holds an equivalent level of animosity toward individuals who harbor unfavorable opinions about him or his character, thus justifying the occasional lies he tells in court.
In his own words, “The only times I ever lied was in courtrooms and police stations. If you don’t like me, I don’t like you more than you don’t like me. You can’t win.”
