Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has issued directives to enhance security measures in the Gwagwalada community, a suburb of Abuja. During a town hall meeting on security held in Gwagwalada, Wike directed the Commissioner of Police in the FCT to establish two new divisional police stations in the Gwagwalada area. He also announced plans to provide new operational vehicles and communication gadgets for police stations across the six area councils in the FCT.
Wike emphasized the importance of security and protecting lives and property, stating that the government’s role is to ensure the safety of citizens. He issued a stern warning to criminals and informants, stating that their time has come, and security agencies will pursue and apprehend them.

The minister revealed that some informants of kidnappers had already been arrested, and he vowed to chase criminals out of Gwagwalada. The directives include immediate action on establishing new police stations and the provision of additional resources to enhance the effectiveness of security agencies.
Wike’s proactive approach and commitment to addressing security challenges in the FCT reflect the government’s determination to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
