Winners Chapel Prepares for Leadership Transition

The Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) is set for a major leadership change as Bishops David Abioye and Thomas Aremu prepare to retire after decades of service. The retirement aligns with the church’s updated policy that lowers the leadership retirement age to 55, except for the founder, Bishop David Oyedepo, who remains in his role for life.

Church members have speculated that the retirements will coincide with Bishop Oyedepo’s birthday celebrations. Farewell services are planned for the two bishops, with Bishop Abioye’s in Abuja on October 18, 2024, and Bishop Aremu’s in Ibadan on October 15, 2024.

This transition marks a new era for the church, as future leaders will serve limited terms, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees. Both bishops have been key figures in the church for over three decades.
