Nigerian music sensation and songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, revealed in an exclusive interview that he crafted his popular tracks ‘Gyrate,’ ‘Essence,’ ‘Soco,’ and ‘Nowo’ all in one night.
Discussing his creative process in music, he shared that on most nights, he wakes up and effortlessly produces two or three hit songs, guided by his creative spirit.
When questioned about his anticipation of ‘Essence’ becoming a massive hit, he confidently affirmed, stating that he was fully aware that the song would make a significant impact. According to him, “Hell yeah.”
Wizkid further mentioned that he initially forgot about creating the song, but when he tweeted about making magic with Tems, it caught people’s attention. Despite the seemingly sudden success, he emphasized that he has been in the music industry for a decade.
