A Twitter user, identified as Ella, recently shared an update on her current situation through a post on her Twitter page.
In her post, Ella revealed that she currently resides in a rented apartment and is facing difficulties with her landlord, leading to uncertainty about how to navigate the situation.
She disclosed that her landlord has explicitly made advances towards her, proposing a romantic relationship in exchange for waiving her house rent.
Expressing her distress, Ella stated, “My landlord wants to engage in an affair with me instead of accepting rent payment.”
Upon reading Ella’s message, several of her followers responded with advice and support.
Here are some of the reactions:
Tommy: “If you are in a dilemma, it means you are considering the proposition. If you are contemplating it, it might indicate that your rent is unaffordable without assistance. If you are single, you have the freedom to accept.”
Jason: “Sounds like a trap. You should try to find a way to coordinate with your friends to help you find another apartment, so you can escape from that situation.”
Eluyemi: “You should make it clear to him that you are not interested, unless you are open to the idea in order to settle your rent dues. But trust me, it won’t make much sense if you go down that path.”
Prince: “Do what brings you happiness. If we advise you against it and it’s what makes you happy, it’s like telling you not to be happy. Dear, do what brings you happiness.”
Popstar: “If your rent is 500k, that’s 500k divided by 52 weeks, which is N9,615. It means he is paying you N9,615 per week for engaging with him. Ultimately, it’s your choice if that’s what you want.”
Olayemi: “If you eventually give in, please ensure he provides you with a rent receipt duly signed by him, as he might switch his interest to another attractive tenant and change the terms for you.”
