Veteran Nollywood actor and scholar Kola Oyewo has died at the age of 80. His death was announced by actor Kunle Afod, who described him as a legendary figure whose contributions to the entertainment industry will never be forgotten.

He  was widely known for his role as Odewale in The Gods Are Not to Blame and appeared in popular productions including Saworoide, Sango and Super Story. His career in theatre and film spanned more than six decades.

Beyond acting, Kola Oyewo was also a respected academic who taught drama at several Nigerian universities. His impact on Nollywood, theatre and education remains a powerful legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.
