Suspected bandits invaded the Igbosi area of Idogun in Ondo State in the early hours of Friday, destroying two buildings and abducting a nine-year-old boy identified as Oluwatobi. The attackers reportedly fired gunshots to scare residents before fleeing with the child.

The victim, said to be the son of a local pastor, was kidnapped after the gunmen (Bandits) stormed the community  and forced residents to run for safety. Several villagers reportedly escaped into nearby communities as panic spread across the area.

The Ondo State Police Command confirmed the attack and said a joint operation involving police officers and Amotekun personnel is underway to rescue the boy and arrest the perpetrators. Authorities have also intensified investigations as security operatives continue to comb nearby forests and possible escape routes.
