Canice Nwachukwu, sometimes known as Omeogo, is a congressman who represents the Orlu/Oru East/Orsu Federal Constituency in Imo State in the House of Representatives. His country home was burned down by suspected arsonists.
According to information obtained by City Round, the politician’s home was burned on Thursday morning, just a few hours before the start of the two-day South-East summit on economy and security, which was held in Owerri and was attended by the five governors from the area.
When the suspects arrived at the federal lawmaker’s village in Abara in the Amanator Okporo community in the Orlu Local Government Area, a source revealed that the politician was not at home.
“The men arrived carrying fuel, metals, and explosives. They stole some property before lighting the house on fire. They captured both the compound and the domestic employees on camera.
“They made threats to plan further atrocities while making the films. They arrived armed and carrying explosives like dynamite and bombs built in the area. Fortunately, the employees were able to flee before setting the building on fire, the insider claimed.
