ADC Fires Warning To Tinubu Over South-East Support

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State has declared that the South-East will not support Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election despite alleged threats linked to federal projects.

The party was reacting to comments reportedly made by Minister of Works, David Umahi, urging the South-East to support Tinubu or risk losing ongoing federal projects.

Reacting, ADC Secretary in Enugu State, Adolphus Ude, described the alleged remarks as reckless and unacceptable.

He insisted that the South-East cannot be intimidated into supporting any political candidate.

Ude also challenged Umahi to mention major infrastructure projects currently being executed by the Tinubu administration in the region.

According to him, development projects are constitutional responsibilities and not rewards for political loyalty.

The ADC further maintained that the South-East remains politically independent and would decide its 2027 votes based on fairness, inclusion and performance.
