Former Transportation Minister and ex-Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, says his defeat in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary affected his faith.

He said losing to President Bola Tinubu made him focus more on Nigeria’s suffering than his political loss.

He admitted he questioned why people continue to suffer despite prayers, which affected his prayer life for a period.

He later said a discussion with his spiritual guide helped him regain balance and perspective.
