Access Holdings CEO Herbert Wigwe Dies in Helicopter Crash

Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Holdings, tragically lost his life in a fatal helicopter crash near Boulder City, California. The accident, which occurred around 10 p.m. on Friday, claimed the lives of Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, their son, and four others, including Abimbola Ogunbajo, the group chairman of the Nigeria Export Group.

The helicopter took off from Palm Springs airport at 8:45 p.m., heading to Las Vegas, but crashed before reaching its destination. Police reports confirmed that there were no survivors, with all passengers dying on the spot.

Wigwe, only 57 years old, had served as CEO and managing director of Access Bank Holdings since succeeding his business partner, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede. His untimely death has left many in shock and mourning across the business community.
