Veteran Nigerian actor Stephen Alajemba, known as Uwaezuoke, has opened up about the numerous rejections he faced from women throughout his life due to his physical and facial appearance. The actor revealed that the rejection began early in his life, with people refusing to carry him as a baby because of his less-than-attractive looks.

Stephen Alajemba disclosed that the rejection based on his looks continued into his adult life, particularly in romantic relationships. He shared that women often “run away” upon seeing his face, making it challenging for him to attract a romantic partner until he reached the age of 20.
Despite the early challenges, the determined actor fulfilled a promise he made to his mother to make her proud. He expressed gratitude for finding love and getting married to his first love at the age of 23. Stephen Alajemba emphasized that the first person who accepted him stayed with him, and the early struggles with rejection did not deter him from finding happiness in his personal life.
The actor’s candid revelation sheds light on the personal challenges individuals may face in terms of societal expectations and perceptions of physical appearance.
