An elder in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Quincy Ayodele, has denied claims that former Pastor Idowu Iluyomade rebelled against the church before starting his own.
In an interview with Daddy Freeze on Monday, Ayodele expressed her disappointment over the church’s decision to bar Iluyomade from stepping into the City of David Parish after his three-month suspension. She said she was shocked by the move, especially since elders had pleaded with Pastor Enoch Adeboye to restore him. Despite their efforts, no response came from Adeboye.

Ayodele insisted that Iluyomade had not rebelled, adding that he never intended to start a new church. She also criticized the church’s actions, stating that the people they helped had abandoned them in their time of need. Although she did not follow Iluyomade when he started his new church, Ayodele remains hopeful that the issue can still be resolved.
