Alibaba : Virginity Is Not Success In Marriage

Nigerian comedian Alibaba has delivered a shocking response to a man’s claim that marrying a virgin is a key factor for a successful marriage. The man had listed perceived advantages of marrying a virgin, prompting Alibaba to challenge the blanket narrative and share stories that contradict the assumed benefits.

The man’s list included points such as having no “dirty past & trauma,” being the first in everything, and a higher possibility for a successful marriage. However, Alibaba, known for his candid views, offered a different perspective.

The comedian countered the claim by sharing real-life stories of individuals who married virgins and did not experience the blissful marriages expected. He recounted instances where a friend’s brother, who married a virgin, faced a tragic end when his wife stabbed him to death over suspicions of infidelity. Alibaba cautioned against generalizations, emphasizing that not all marriages based on the partner’s virginity had smooth outcomes.

He continued to recount more stories, including one where a man who left his non-virgin wife for a virgin remained childless for over two decades, and another where a man who married an 18-year-old virgin ended up with children fathered by the neighbor’s security man.

Alibaba’s response challenges societal assumptions about the correlation between virginity and marital success, highlighting the complexity and individuality of relationships. His candid approach to dismantling stereotypes adds a layer of introspection to the ongoing conversations surrounding marriage and societal expectations.
