Anambra PDP Calls for Soludo’s Accountability and Engagement with Critics

The Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a statement calling on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to refrain from attacking critics of his administration and to embrace accountability.

Uloka Chibuike, the spokesperson for PDP in Anambra, expressed concerns over the governor’s recent verbal assaults on critics and commentators. Chibuike argued that these attacks indicated that the Soludo administration might be facing challenges and struggling to gain popularity.

Chibuike emphasized that Governor Soludo holds a public position of trust and should, therefore, be open to scrutiny and criticism. He pointed out that the Anambra State Government House is not a private business and that the governor should be accountable to the people of the state.

The PDP spokesperson stated, “Critics and commentators are not adversaries of the government, but rather, citizens who want to see the government keep their promises and make suggestions on how the government might improve.”

Chibuike also expressed disappointment that, in the 19 months of Soludo’s administration, there appeared to be little evidence on the ground to justify the governor’s promises and achievements.

The PDP’s message conveys a call for transparency, constructive engagement with critics, and a focus on delivering on the governor’s commitments to the people of Anambra State.
