“APC Group Praises Tribunal, Calls for Opposition Support for Tinubu”

Bola Campaign Organisation (BCO), a political support group dedicated to President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 Presidential Election campaign, has expressed its admiration for the judiciary’s decision to uphold President Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election. The group commended the tribunal’s ruling, which it characterized as an affirmation of the trust and confidence that Nigerians have placed in President Tinubu.

In a statement signed by the National Patron, Alhaji Abdulwahab Quardi; National Coordinator, Mohammed Makinta; and National Women’s Leader, Alhaja Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, BCO acknowledged the judiciary’s role as a staunch defender of democracy in Nigeria. The group praised the tribunal’s judgment for its thoroughness, articulation, and comprehensiveness.

The five-member tribunal, chaired by Justice Haruna Tsammani and including Justices Stephen Adah, Monsurat Bolaji-Yusuf, Moses Ugo, and Abba Mohammed, unanimously dismissed the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as well as the Labour Party (LP) and its candidate, Peter Obi, challenging the declaration of President Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on March 1, 2023.

BCO’s statement emphasized that the tribunal’s verdict was not only a vindication of President Tinubu’s victory but also a morale booster for him and his team. It further called on members of opposition parties, particularly Peter Obi of the LP and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, to collaborate with President Tinubu in advancing the nation’s economic prosperity and human capital development. The group encouraged a spirit of unity and cooperation for the greater good of Nigeria.
