APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and Others to Appear in Court

Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), along with his wife Hafsat and six others, are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to face charges related to alleged bribery, diversion, and misappropriation of funds totaling billions of naira. The court proceedings follow a notice of trial served through substituted means as ordered by the Kano State High Court.

The court order, granted on June 5, 2024, permitted the state to notify the respondents through advertisements in national newspapers on June 6, 2024. The respondents named in the case include Abdullahi Ganduje, Hafsat Ganduje, Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Safari Textiles Ltd, and Lesage General Enterprises.

Justice Amina Adamu, presiding over the case, emphasized the necessity of substituted service to ensure all parties are informed about the proceedings. The hearing is scheduled to commence at 10am on Thursday at the Kano State High Court, where all parties are required to present their legal representation.
