In a brazen display of lawlessness, armed criminals ambushed a luxury bus full of Easter travelers along the Ijebu-Ode-Benin Expressway. The passengers, en route to the southeast for festive celebrations, fell victim to a terrifying ordeal at Oke Ado Junction, Ijebu-mushin.
Reports reveal that the assailants, wielding menacing cutlasses, mercilessly robbed the unsuspecting passengers of their valuables before callously setting the bus ablaze. Despite the harrowing attack, thankfully, there were no fatalities.
Confirming the incident, SP Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, disclosed that the criminals struck without firearms, adding to the chilling audacity of their assault.
Footage shared on social media by traumatized passengers captured the chaos and fear as they recounted the terrifying encounter. Many were left stripped of their belongings, some even half-naked, and suffered injuries in the violent rampage.
