Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has taken legal action against President Bola Tinubu with case No. 23-5099 (N. D. III.) in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
In a statement released by his aide, Phrank Shaibu, it was revealed that Atiku decided to withdraw an existing case in a Circuit Court in Illinois due to his pursuit of the same matter in a higher court. Shaibu emphasized that this is just the beginning of the legal proceedings.
Shaibu criticized the celebration by Tinubu and his supporters, likening it to rejoicing over a Supreme Court judgment. He highlighted the questions surrounding Tinubu’s academic records and his inability to identify any former classmates, contrasting this with the practices of past Presidents who interacted with their classmates.
Shaibu also raised concerns about the secrecy surrounding Tinubu’s life history, particularly the year 1993 which marked a significant point in his recorded history involving narcotics trading. He accused Tinubu of obstructing efforts to unveil the truth about his past, suggesting that such obstruction indicates a hidden agenda.
Shaibu concluded by asserting that the truth would eventually prevail, even if falsehood prevails temporarily, and stressed that Tinubu cannot escape scrutiny any longer.
