BBC Exposes TB Joshua’s Fake Miracle.

A recent investigative report by BBC Africa Eye has claimed that the late Nigerian televangelist, TB Joshua, allegedly engaged in deceptive practices to fabricate miracles within his Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). The report, based on insights from over 25 insiders across various countries, lists six ways through which Joshua purportedly faked miracles.

According to the BBC report:

  1. Emergency Department: The church reportedly had an exclusive section called the “emergency department,” where individuals seeking healing were screened. The team, allegedly trained by medical doctors, would decide who should be filmed and prayed for. Placards detailing exaggerated or made-up ailments were provided, and a select group of trusted disciples worked in this department.
  1. Drugs: Foreign visitors seeking healing were required to fill out medical reports detailing their illnesses and medications. They were told to stop taking their prescribed drugs, and Joshua allegedly ordered pharmacists to procure the same medicines. Visitors would unknowingly consume the drugs mixed in fruit drinks blessed by Joshua.

  1. Brainwashing: The chosen followers were reportedly instructed to exaggerate their problems for dramatic effect. The church allegedly supplied wheelchairs, coercing followers to use them for healing sessions. Theatricality played a significant role in creating an atmosphere of miracles.

  1. Bribes: Disciples were allegedly charged with finding people in need of money to pretend to be sick. In poorer areas during healing crusades, people were paid to act out scenes and claim to be healed. Joshua was reportedly informed beforehand about planted individuals.

  1. Fake Medical Certificates: Medical reports claiming cures, especially for HIV/AIDS and cancer, were regularly presented during healing sessions. Doctors were allegedly interviewed on camera to confirm the cures. Insiders claim the certificates were fake, and the healing miracles were staged.

  1. Video Manipulation: Films of the supposed miracles were allegedly edited to create an impression of instantaneous healing. Before-and-after footage was spliced together to show miraculous transformations. The time-space between events was reportedly concealed.

BBC Africa reached out to SCOAN for comment, but no response was received. The church had previously denied allegations against Joshua, stating that none of the claims were substantiated. The report raises questions about the authenticity of the widely broadcasted miracles during Joshua’s ministry.

Please note that these allegations are based on the BBC Africa Eye report, and the responses from SCOAN are not included in the provided information.
