A few hours after emerging as the winner of the All Stars season, Ilebaye found herself inundated with offers from banks. Two online banks extended their warm invitations to Ilebaye, each presenting enticing proposals.
Piggyvest, one of the financial companies, reached out to Ilebaye, proposing that she consider depositing half of her BBNaija prize money with them. They assured her of a remarkable return on investment, projecting nearly N7.5 million over a year if she decided to invest N60 million in their bank. This equated to an interest rate exceeding 12%, according to Piggyvest’s calculations.
On the other hand, Fairmoney, another financial institution, expressed a willingness to offer Ilebaye an even more attractive interest rate should she opt to save half of her BBNaija prize money with them.
