Nigerian artiste Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, known as Bella Shmurda, led a candlelight procession in Canada on Saturday to honor the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as MohBad.
Speaking to fans during the procession, Bella Shmurda referred to the deceased as his “brother, friend, and guy.” He revealed that he was overseas when he received the news of MohBad’s passing. He also mentioned that shortly after the news, his mother called him and asked him not to return to Nigeria at that time.
Expressing his gratitude to everyone who joined the procession, Bella Shmurda stated that they would continue to seek justice for MohBad’s death.
“This person is my brother, my guy, is my best friend. It’s really sad. I had just left Nigeria barely three days after I received the call saying MohBad had died. My mom pleaded with me not to return to Nigeria yet. I understand her. God bless you wherever you are MohBad. I don’t know what to say. Thank you all for coming, and Justice for MohBad,” Bella Shmurda said.
MohBad passed away on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 27.
