NUC Grants Approval for Additional Courses at FUOYE Study Center

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval for two additional courses to be offered by the Centre for Continuous Education at the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The Director of FUOYE’s Centre for Continuous Education, Omolade Adeleke, who holds the rank of associate professor, announced that the newly approved courses are Biochemistry and Microbiology. This development expands the range of programs offered by the center to a total of 24, spread across the six faculties.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Adeleke stated, “The NUC has approved two additional new courses for the CCE’s Institute of Part-time Studies. The two courses are Microbiology and Biochemistry. With this new approval, the total number of courses under the part-time program is now 24, which cuts across six faculties of Agriculture, Arts, Science, Social Science, Management, and Education.”

He also emphasized the importance of taking advantage of this opportunity, as spaces for admission are limited, and application forms for the 2023/2024 academic session are now available.

Adeleke expressed his gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, for his support in securing this approval. He further outlined the academic calendar, noting that the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic session, which commenced two weeks ago, will conclude in December. Fresh students are expected to commence the 2023/2024 academic session in January 2024.
