Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy National Chairman, Bode George, has called for patience with President Bola Tinubu, citing his lack of prior presidential experience as a reason for a grace period. George suggested that Tinubu might need more time to achieve significant progress, as he is still studying the failures of his predecessors.
In an interview with AriseTV on Friday, June 7, George emphasized that Tinubu, being a first-time president, should be given an additional year to implement his policies and earn the trust of Nigerians. He noted that Tinubu’s first year was likely spent understanding the country’s challenges and the shortcomings of the previous administration.
George compared Tinubu’s situation to that of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who also took time to acclimate during his first year in office. He urged Nigerians to be patient and allow Tinubu more time to address the nation’s issues effectively.
