The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reached a significant milestone on Instagram celebrating 5 million followers with a special tribute that features Super eagles legends Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen and William Troost-Ekong.

To mark this achievement, CAF unveiled commemorative artwork spotlighting some of Africa’s top football stars, with Nigerian players prominently displayed as a nod to the country’s rich football history.
Ahmed Musa, Nigeria’s all-time top scorer at FIFA World Cup, is a key figure in the artwork. Known for his pace and goal-scoring ability, Musa has been a long standing contributor to the Nigerian national team and has enjoyed stints at clubs like Leicester City and Al-Nassr.
Victor Osimhen, the current standout for the Super Eagles, also features prominently. After leading Napoli to their first Serie A title in over three decades, Osimhen made headlines with his move to Galatasaray in Turkey. His inclusion underscores his influence in both European and African football.
Completing the trio is William Troost-Ekong, a dependable defender who has become a key player for Nigeria and is currently starring in the Saudi Pro League. troost-Ekong was named MVP of the 2023 AFCON, further cementing his status in African football.
CAF’s decision to highlight these Nigerian stars in their celebratory post proves Nigeria’s significant contribution to African football. Alongside the artwork, CAF added a playful caption: “One, two, three, four, five. Everybody in the car, so come on, let’s ride”
This milestone not only reflects CAF’s growing social media presence but also the increasing global interest in African football.
