Veteran singer Charly Boy has advised Nigerian celebrities to stop exposing their personal lives to the public, especially on social media. His remarks come in response to the reported marital issues between music icon 2Baba and his wife, Annie Idibia. Charly Boy emphasized that personal disputes should be handled privately, not turned into public spectacles.
Speaking in an interview, he expressed sympathy for the couple but insisted that celebrities should learn discretion. “I’ve had disagreements with my wife, but we resolve them privately. If I ever separate from my wife, nobody would know,” he stated, stressing the importance of keeping personal affairs away from public scrutiny.
Meanwhile, journalist Kikelomo Atanda-Owo weighed in on the situation, urging women to prioritize self-reliance in relationships. She argued that love alone isn’t enough, and women should focus on their emotional and mental well-being instead of clinging to relationships despite red flags.
