In a recent social media post, a chef using the handle @tinugrills, expressed frustration over Toyin Abraham’s alleged refusal to pay for a meal she ordered during a meet and greet event in Ilorin for her movie “The Ghost and the Tout”.
The chef’s tweet, directed at Toyin Abraham, prompted the actress to block her on the platform. She tweeted,”Toyin alabosian, you better pay my money”. The chef vowed to provide evidence the next day.
On the morning following the incident, the chef recounted the story, revealing that on October 8, 2021, Toyin had ordered a substantial amount of food for herself and her team. The total bill was around 40,000 Naira, though the exact amount couldn’t be recalled due to the passage of time.
According to the chef, Toyin had thoroughly enjoyed the meal and assured her that her manager would settle the bill. However, no one had contacted her regarding payment up to that point.
After the chef’s social media post gained traction, Toyin and her management allegedly reached out, with Toyin claiming she couldn’t remember the incident. She also reportedly used strong language and asked the chef to delete the post, which the chef refused to do until she was paid.
Another user on the platform, @larmmy, shared a similar experience, claiming that Toyin Abraham had attempted a similar act with a friend, suggesting a pattern of behavior.
