The process of documenting the newly-appointed ministers is set to commence on Saturday and conclude on Sunday, August 20. This step is a crucial part of the administrative procedure following their confirmation.
The Permanent Secretary of General Services at the Office of the Secretary to the Federation, Nnamdi Mbaeri, issued a statement on Thursday outlining the requirements for the documentation process. The ministers-designate have been requested to bring essential documents, including their curriculum vitae, birth certificate or declaration of age, and two passport photographs.
The statement also specified that the documentation will take place at the Conference Room, General Services Office, Second Floor, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The timing for the documentation is set from 10 am to 4 pm on both Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20.
To ensure efficient coordination, each minister-designate has been asked to provide the names of three guests who will be attending the documentation process for access to the venue.
This administrative process follows the confirmation of 45 minister-designates by the Senate, whose portfolios were unveiled on Wednesday. The ministers are expected to be officially sworn in by President Bola Tinubu on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
