Dunamis Church Testimony Drama: Woman Forgives Pastor, Puts Incident Behind

In a remarkable display of forgiveness and grace, Vera Anyim, the woman at the center of the storm following a contentious testimony at Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, has declared that she harbors no ill feelings toward the church or its Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche.

The saga unfolded when Anyim’s testimony, during which she claimed to have obtained a “Bsc in Law” from the National Open University of Nigeria, was abruptly interrupted by Pastor Enenche, who accused her of lying and promptly asked her to leave the pulpit.

Despite the public outcry and demands for an apology, Anyim has chosen to extend an olive branch, expressing her commitment to the church and its mission. In a heartfelt message shared on her Facebook page, she announced a reconciliation meeting with Pastor Enenche and his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, underscoring her desire to move forward and leave the incident in the past.

Her post read, “I want to inform the whole world that I just had a warm meeting with my spiritual father and mother, Dr. Paul Enenche, and Dr. Becky Enenche. I don’t have any grudge against the church or them. I remain committed to serving God as a member of Dunamis Church.”

“I am thankful for the concern of the public. I have put the situation at my back, and I have moved forward, and I want everybody to do the same. Peace,” she concluded.

In response to the controversy, Dunamis Church issued a statement addressing the concerns raised during Anyim’s testimony. The church clarified that the interruption was prompted by discrepancies in her language proficiency and the clarity of her academic credentials, rather than any malicious intent.

“While we remain resolute in our passion for excellence, intolerance of mediocrity and falsehood, we wish to reiterate the fact that no harm or hurt was ever intended by the Senior Pastor against Ms. Anyim Veronica,” the statement emphasized.

Amidst the fallout from the incident, photos confirming Anyim’s graduation from the National Open University of Nigeria surfaced online, providing tangible evidence of her academic credentials.

Despite the ordeal, Anyim remains steadfast in her faith and determination to overcome adversity. As she navigates this challenging chapter, her resilience serves as a testament to the power of forgiveness and reconciliation in the face of adversity.
