Dennis Idahosa, a member of the House of Representatives, has been announced as the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) candidate for the Edo State gubernatorial election scheduled for September 21, 2024.
At the conclusion of the voting on Saturday in Benin, this was declared by APC Edo Governorship Primary Voting Committee Chairman, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State.
According to Uzodinma, Idahosa defeated eight other candidates in the campaign with a total of 40,4483 votes.
Several candidates withdrew from the primary election, including Chief Lucky Imasuen, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe.
