On Thursday night, Federal Capital Territory Police Command officers put an end to a violent demonstration that broke out after a fashion designer was allegedly killed by a Department of State Services agent who fired irregularly and injured several people.
It was learned that the DSS representative was summoned to the victim’s store by a client who claimed the victim had failed to deliver certain clothing by the scheduled delivery date.
A market vendor, who did not want her name published for fear of retaliation, claimed that some of the fashion designer’s coworkers learned about the incident and tried to intercede, but the DSS agent did not take kindly to their efforts.
“The DSS was brought by a woman who was a fashion designer’s client. According to her, her outfits were not sewn by the fashion designer. Her coworkers joined in and stood up for her. A heated quarrel resulted from the problem.
“We afterwards heard a gunshot and found out that the fashion designer had died and another person had been hurt. At Wuse Market Police Station, the DSS agent was taken into custody. Now, all of our employees are there, the trader remarked. She mentioned how the police detained and arrested the DSS operative after he reportedly shot and killed the fashion designer.
