“Fatal Lightning Strike Claims Lives of 3 Suspected Kidnappers in Kwara”

In a striking incident, three individuals believed to be members of a kidnapping gang met their fate when they were struck by lightning in the Oro Ago community of the Ifelodun Local Government Area in Kwara State. The incident occurred a few days ago and is linked to the efforts of a local vigilante team in the Igbomina Kwara axis, working towards addressing security challenges in the area.

A video capturing the aftermath of the incident went viral, showing the decomposing bodies of the suspected kidnappers, burnt beyond recognition, in a bush. The narrator in the video identified themselves as members of the vigilante team, expressing gratitude for their successful efforts against those perpetrating evil and kidnapping in their area. They attributed the death of the suspected kidnappers to a thunderstrike and expressed confidence in overcoming such evildoers.

Another video featured Fulani herders, said to be relatives of the deceased, discussing the incident and describing it as an act of God beyond human comprehension. They accepted the lightning strike as a natural occurrence that cannot be questioned.

A source from the Oro-Ago Development Union confirmed the incident, with members of the vigilante team providing details to the sociocultural organization. The State Police Commissioner, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, stated that the police have initiated an investigation to verify the incident’s authenticity.

In related news, the Iwo Community recently constructed and donated a Divisional Police Station, a hilux patrol vehicle, and three motorcycles to the Nigeria Police in an effort to combat crime and criminality in the area. The facility was received on behalf of the former Commissioner of Police in the state, AIG Paul Odama, who has been assigned to Federal Operations at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
