The FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation ) in the United States has stated that they are yet to know the reason behind the attempted of Donald Trump’s attack.
Following the incident, Trump touched his face on the right side and fell to the ground. To shield him, Secret Service agents quickly intervened.
Anthony Guglielmi, the spokesperson for the Secret Service, said that the shooter fired multiple shots towards the stage from an elevated position outside the rally venue.
Commenting on the incident, which World leaders have condemned, the FBI Special Agent in Charge of the Pittsburgh field office, Kevin Rojek, mentioned that there were no specific threats received prior to the shooting incident.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has chosen not to tell the public the identity of the shooter, who was pronounced dead at the location.
Speaking during a press conference, Rojek said: “Tonight we had what we’re calling an assassination attempt on our former president, Donald Trump.
He added, “All the details of that will come out in a later investigation.”
