39 people connected to a variety of offenses were displayed on Friday by Haruna G. Garba, the Commissioner of Police (CP) of the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking to reporters at the command’s headquarters, Garba stated that the suspects had been taken into custody by the joint task force of “Operation Save FCT,” which had been established by Nyemso Wike, the minister of the FCT.
According to him, the task force, which was made up of the military, police, NSCDC, and DTRS, conducted coordinated raids on shanties, incomplete buildings, criminal hideouts, and clearing operations in the forests and shrubs that bordered the FCT.
Speaking on the joint task force’s accomplishments over the previous two weeks, CP Garba stated that 135 individuals had been taken into custody in black spots in Kwali, Dutse Alhaji, Mpape, Karu, AYA, Nyaya, Karmo, Karshi, Kuje, Airport Road, Berger Roundabout, Jabi, Orozo, and Mararaba.
Additionally, he added that the task group found eight pilfered cars that had handcuffs and knives inside of them.
