Former Ogun State Aides Urge Payment of Unpaid Severance

Former aides of ex-Governor Ibikunle Amosun have accused current Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun of failing to pay their severance gratuity. They have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene and ensure the payment of their outstanding entitlements.

In a statement released on Sunday, the aides expressed frustration over the lack of response from the state government despite multiple letters since 2019. Former special assistants Fakorede Adesanya, Okoya Babatunde, and Musiliu Oladeinde highlighted that Governor Abiodun had acknowledged their entitlement ahead of the 2023 elections but has yet to fulfill his promise.

The former aides emphasized the financial and psychological toll of the five-year delay, noting that many of their colleagues are in financial distress due to their unpaid gratuity. They urged President Tinubu to address their plight to encourage future public service dedication.
