Gunmen in Nasarawa hack doctor to death

Dr. Stephen Angbas, the owner of the Lafia-Angbas Clinic, was assassinated by some assailants who have not yet been named. He lived in Nasarawa State.

Reporters learned that Angbas was killed in the early hours of Tuesday in the state’s Awe Local Government Area when he was riding a motorcycle back from his farm.

The doctor and the motorcycle who was transporting the deceased doctor to the farm were the targets of savage and horrifying machete attacks, according to some eyewitnesses who spoke with reporters.

While Mikailu Dahiru, a motorcycle rider, was brought to a local hospital where he is currently undergoing urgent care for the terrible wounds he got during the incident, Angbas apparently unfortunately died from his injuries.
Local government council employee Audu Lawal expressed grave concern over the situation and mentioned that the council chairman had alerted security officials for prompt action.
The report has also been corroborated by DSP Rahman Nansel, the state’s police spokesperson, who said, “Today, on the 17th of October 2023, at about 4:00 pm, mobile police operatives received distressing information regarding a tragic attack along the Jangargari-Awe Road.

Tragically, Dr. Angbass Stephen passed away from his severe injuries, and Mikailu Dahiru, a commercial motorbike rider, survived the incident. In response to this senseless act of violence, CP Maiyaki Baba offers his sincere sympathies to the family of the victim and has launched a thorough investigation to apprehend those responsible.
